Frequently Asked Questions
Regular Season
How much are classes?
Our new simplified pricing makes understanding monthly tuition so much easier! Tuition is based on 4 classes per month. In months with 5 weeks an additional fee will be charged for the 5th week. In months with only 3 weeks (due to holidays, breaks, etc.), credit will be added for the 4th week. Tuition rates are per student, not per family. BONUS: The current tuition rates are locked in for 2 years (August 2026 through July 2028)! Tuition rates are as follows:
Twinkle Star Classes
30 minute class $45.00
45 minute class $52.00
1 hour class $59.00
Show Stars, Rising Stars, Elite Stars, & Adult Classes
1 class $55.00
2 classes $90.00
3 classes $115.00
4 classes $135.00
5 classes $150.00
6 classes $175.00
Do you offer discounts for taking multiples classes or for siblings/family?
YES! Families that enroll 2 or more students will receive a 10 % discount off all classes (excluding competition classes). The discount also applies to adult classes! Discounts for taking multiple classes are built into our pricing.
Are parents allowed to observe class?
YES, as long as your presence doesn't become a distraction to your dancer. We do require that one parent/guardian stay for the Twinkle Babies and Twinkle Stars classes to help their dancer use the restroom, if needed. For the Twinkle Stars 5-7 & Show Stars 5-7 year old classes, parents are not required to stay as long as the dancer can use the restroom on their own.
MARSHALL STUDIO: There are 12 chairs available in the waiting area for parents to observe class. There is no separation between the waiting area and the teaching area so we ask that voices be kept low and cell phones are turned to silent or vibrate to avoid distractions during class.
PARIS STUDIO: Parents can stay in the upstairs studio during classes. There is no separation between the waiting area and the teaching are so we ask that voices be kept low and cell phones are turned to silent or vibrate to avoid distractions during class. For the downstairs studio, parents need to use the observation room located on the landing of the stairs or there are two benches & chairs in the lobby.
When are payments due and what forms of payment are accepted by the Studio?
Monthly tuition is due on the first class of the month. The Studio accepts cash, check, debit/credit cards, and autopay is also an option. If you enroll in autopay, you can choose the date your payment will process (5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, or 30th).
Does the Studio have a dress code?
YES! The REQUIRED dress codes for classes are listed below, and you are REQUIRED to purchase all dress code items from the Studio. Since dancewear & shoes do not fit the same as street attire, the Studio hosts measuring days prior to the start of the new season for students to get fitted for dancewear & shoes. Purchase shoes, tights, dancewear, and dance bags through our online retail store here: www.shopnimbly.com/FuzionDanceStudio.

Do we have to purchase dancewear, shoes and tights through the Studio?
YES! All shoes, dress code items, and tights must be purchased through the Fuzion Dance Studio. We only use one company for our dress code and shoes, and they only sell to dance studios, so you cannot purchase these items elsewhere. The Studio has sizing kits for leotards and shoes to ensure a proper fit as dancewear and dance shoes do not fit the same as street clothes and shoes.
Why do you have a dress code?
In addition to saving parents time and money, the dress code helps dancers, especially younger dancers, understand they are going to a structured class compared to unstructured playtime. It ensures that the clothing is not a distraction during class and that each dancer is appropriately dressed for class. Each class and/or level has its own class color. We also use the dress code as performance attire for community events & parades and/or in the event of a costume issues at recital.
Are there performance opportunities?
YES! There is a fully costumed recital in May every year and a Christmas recital in December of odd numbered years. The spring recital takes place either the 1st or 3rd weekend of May, depending on the venue availability. The Christmas recital takes place either the 2nd or 3rd weekend in December, depending on the venue availability. Other performance opportunities may come up as the year progresses or if the Studio receives any requests. For dancers ages 7 and older that are up for a challenge, the Studio offers a performance/competition team. Auditions are held in the summer for potential placement on the team. Note: The Twinkle Babies 2-3 year old class is a non-performance class, so they do not perform at recital. However, they may perform at community events or participate in parades.
Do you offer fundraisers to help with costumes/performance outfits?
YES! The costume fundraisers take place in September or October. You can fundraise for tights, costumes, make-up, jewelry, or other performance accessories. Monthly fees and required dress code are not included in fundraising. The Studio tries to keep costume prices low, but we are at the mercy of the costume companies.
Do you offer any special events besides recitals?
YES! We offer mini dance camps & classes throughout the season. These can be themed mini camps or focus on a specific dance style or skills. Dancers that are enrolled for the regular season will receive a discount on the mini camps & classes, as well as priority registration.
For dancers aged 6-18, we offer the opportunity to attend a dance convention in the fall. This season we will be attending the Showstopper Dance Convention in the Wisconsin Dells in October. Dancers will have the opportunity to take 2 full days of dance classes with professional dancers, choreographers, and teachers that include former & current back up dancers for famous artists, NBA & NFL dance & cheer team members, ballet company dancers, Disney & Broadway performers, and many others. It’s an amazing opportunity for dancers and so much fun! See the “Special Events” tap on our website for more details.
Are parents allowed to take pictures or video tape classes?
YES! Parents are allowed to take pictures and/or video tape the class their child is enrolled in. Per the Studio Handbook, all videos are prohibited from being posted online or to any social media site. This policy is in place to protect the choreography rights of the Fuzion Dance Studio, the students, as well as music licensing & copyrighted material that may be used in class. Please respect this rule.
When do classes start & how long is the season?
The regular season starts the second full week of August and runs through the spring recital in May. The spring recital will take place either the 1st or 3rd weekend of May, depending on the venue availability. In odd numbered years, we also have a Christmas recital in December usually on the 2nd or 3rd weekend, depending on the venue availability.
What are the benefits of dance?
There are physical, intellectual, artistic, social, and individual benefits of dance. The physical benefits include fitness, coordination, cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, and strength. Intellectual benefits include sequential learning, patterns, spatial development, problem solving, and right & left brain inclusion. Innovation, imagination, musicality, rhythm, and art appreciation comprise the artistic benefits. Camaraderie, communication, and cooperation are the social benefits. Finally, the individual benefits vary by student, but include confidence, listening skills, self-discipline, persistence, accuracy, and self-esteem.
What is a typical class structure?
All classes begin with a warm-up and stretching session and then progress to technique/skills, across the floor/center combinations, and/or learn a class combination or dance routine. If time allows, we may play a dance game or activity at the end of the younger classes or do a cool down/stretch at the end of other classes.
